Seven Days on Second Chances

Seven Days CoverLast week I had the wonderful experience of being interviewed by Midge Noble of Second Chances. She hosts a radio show that focuses on challenging her listeners to be authentic and think outside the box, as well as improving minds, bodies, and spirits through inspiring conversations. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to share my story and continue the conversation with her.

The conversation we had was about my book, Seven Days: why I chose to write about the last seven days of my father’s life, what it was like to put one foot in front of the other as it all unfolded, and what I hope readers will take away from the book.

Midge got me to think about some things I hadn’t thought about in years. Things like conversations with my mom about death, conversations I had with my father about my mother’s death, and that my relationship was falling apart while my father was dying from cancer.

It all looks so heavy when I write it out like that, but it was actually a wonderful and fun conversation with Midge—really! I encourage you to listen for yourself and let me know if you agree…

Listen to the SecondChancesLIVE interview from May 2, 2013 right here.

I hope you’ll take some time to listen, even if it’s in bits and pieces (the interview is almost a full hour), or download the podcast here to take it in later. (If clicking the link doesn’t start the download, right click and save as an .mp3 file

If you’ve read the book I’d be so grateful for your review on Amazon.com. Reviews are helpful in moving the book up Amazon’s rankings and making it more visible to those who might be interested in reading this type of book.

A review doesn’t have to be in depth or a even a critique; simply share what you thought of Seven Days, how you related to the story, or what kind of impact the story had on you as you read. I’m grateful for any and all reviews. If you don’t have a copy yet, check out all the fancy places you can buy yours here.

In addition, I’m happy to answer any questions about either the book or the interview, and your comments are always welcome and appreciated.
