Three Minutes of Silence #3MoS

by Dian Reid on February.4.2010

Three minutes of silence. This is what I’m willing to give myself every day. Today I’ll focus one minute on me, one minute on everyone I know personally. One minute on everyone I don’t know personally. Some days I’ll focus on healing. Some days I’ll focus on love. Some days I might focus on fun or love or creativity or The Great Mother or children or granny smith apples and peanut butter. I don’t know what these 3 minutes will bring to me each day. I just know that I need to be silent for 3 minutes every day.

I just want to see what happens. I’ll be posting my 3 minute thoughts on Twitter with the hashtag: #3MoS. Feel free to do the same.

What can you do with 3 minutes a day?

  • What a great idea! Look forward to your tweets.
  • Fabulous idea. Personally, I get physically and mentally uncomfortable in those quiet meditative moments. Three minutes would probably make me go insane. Which is probably exactly why I should participate!
I'll be curious to see what surfaces for you.
  • I use a lot more than 3 minutes a day. Silence is my sanity. Away from questions, demands, everyday noise. A lovely idea. We can certainly use more silence in this world!
